Can you please explain the ratings that I see on the resort pages?
RCI has served as the leading exchange company in timeshare resort rentals for over 30 years. They are affiliated with nearly every vacation rental resort worldwide. RCI affiliated resorts that provide an exceptional vacation experience to guests and owners have the proud distinction of being recognized with either a RCI Gold Crown or RCI Silver Crown rating. In addition, those providing exemplary service have been recognized with the prestigious RCI Hospitality Award. These designations are a direct reflection of guest reviews and surveys received from vacationers at these RCI affiliated resorts along with a review of the resort's offerings. RCI Gold Crown: Gold Crown Resorts have achieved the highest level of excellence in affiliated resort accommodations and hospitality. Affiliated resorts have met exacting quality and service standards based on both RCI Comment Card ratings and an evaluation of resort facilities, amenities and services. What types of deposit and/or payment options are available?
Resort Rentals International accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover for 100% of the vacation rental at the time of booking. Upon request, we also accept 50% of the total vacation rental at the time of reservation and the remaining balance 30 days prior to the check in date.
What are the check in and check out times?
Standard check in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 10:00 am. On very rare occasion these times may vary. You will find the specifics relating to check in and check out times on the corresponding resort pages of the website.No.
How are cancellations and refunds handled?
Resort Rentals, Int'l is pleased to offer an affordable travel protection option through CSA Insurance. All reservations are non-refundable and not cancelable unless travel insurance is purchased. Details about this affordable insurance option can be found here (pdf file). Please call our Travel Consultants Mon-Sat if you have any questions before securing your reservation.
What happens when I arrive at the property?
You will find a Welcome Center at each resort. You should be prepared to provide your confirmation number supplied by Resort Rentals International along with photo identification and credit card for incidentals and/or property damage. The front desk staff will provide you with a key along with any additional assistance you may need. Many resorts have a 24-hour front desk. However, we do recommend that you contact Resort Rentals International if you know in advance that you will be arriving late to the resort. In cases of significant travel delays, it is highly recommended that you contact the resort or Resort Rentals Int'l to avoid possible cancellation of your reservation.
An additional security deposit and/or resort tax and fee may be charged directly by the resort upon check in. Please refer to the detailed resort pages of the website or contact your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant to verify all applicable charges.
Do vacation rentals come with housekeeping?
All of our vacation rentals are professionally cleaned before a new guest checks in. Some of our resorts also offer daily housekeeping at no additional charge, while others may do so upon request at an additional fee. Details for each resort can be found in the Services section on each detailed resort page. Please contact your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant should you require additional information.
Do I have to take a tour or listen to a sales presentation?
No. When you reserve through Resort Rentals, International you are not required to take a tour or listen to any on site sales presentation. You may be invited to attend such events and should feel comfortable declining if you are not interested. There is absolutely no obligation to do anything but relax and enjoy your vacation.
Do I have to deal with an owner?
No. Resort Rentals International manages all of the details of your reservation for you. We are committed to providing convenient and secure payment options along with reliable information regarding each of our vacation rentals. In addition, we will supply each of our guests with the confirmation and full explanation of property details and policies. Our team doesn't stop there. A Travel Consultant is on hand 24-hours a day to assist throughout the check in process if needed.
Are linens and other toiletries provided?
Yes. Linens are provided at all of our vacation rentals in accordance with the maximum occupancy of each unit. One set of bath towels for each guest and bed linens for each bed along with sleeper sofa is standard. Toilet paper along with a complimentary bar of soap and shampoo is included. While many of our resorts also include additional convenience items such as trash bags, dish soap and paper towels it is recommended that you either bring your own or confirm in advance with your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant.
Is a deposit/credit card required at check in?
Yes. A credit card is required at check in for possible incidentals and/or damage. Some resorts may also require a small security deposit and/or nominal resort tax or fee. Please review the detailed resort page on this website for related information or check with your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant before reserving.
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not allowed at any of our resort properties. This policy is strictly enforced as a means to ensure accommodations of the utmost quality to every vacationer. Should you be found with a pet on the premises you may be asked to leave the resort without possibility of a refund. Additional fines and damage related charges may also be assessed.
Is free parking provided and for how many vehicles?
Yes. Free parking for at least one vehicle is included at all of our resorts. This policy does not include RVs or commercial vehicles. If you are planning on having more than one vehicle, please contact your Resort Rentals Consultant or the resort directly to confirm that they will be able to accommodate you.
Are laundry facilities provided?
Most of our condo resort rentals feature washer/dryer inside the unit for your convenience. Those vacation rentals without washer/dryer inside the unit will usually offer coin-operated facilities on site. Additionally, many of our all- inclusive Mexico Resorts will offer laundry and dry cleaning service through the housekeeping department. Specifics relating to your chosen resort can be found in the amenities section of each detailed resort page on the website.
Do telephone charges apply?
Telephone charges vary at each resort. However, many resorts do charge for local and long distance calls. We advise reviewing this information on the detailed resort pages and inquiring at the front desk during check in to avoid unexpected charges.
How can I find out about planned activities?
All of our resort rentals feature planned activities. Many will also have an Activities Department as well. Please inquire with your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant if you desire a calendar of events for the period, which you are traveling. Activities calendars are usually available at the front desk as well should you wish to acquire at the time of check in.
Are we allowed to bring more travelers than the occupancy rate indicates?
No, generally the resorts have indicated occupancy rates that coincide with fire codes and regulations. In some occasions resorts may allow additional guests, others will also provide a rollaway for your comfort. We recommend calling a Resort Rentals Travel Consultant if you require this type of arrangement. If the occupancy indicated on the conformation is not followed at the resort and no prior approval has been issued, the resort may terminate your reservation without possibility of a refund.
Can Resort Rentals International guarantee a specific view?
No, in most cases we are not able to guarantee a particular room or view. We can however, make a formal request with the resort on your behalf. Please indicate any special requests to your Resort Rentals Travel Consultant at the time of booking.
